Posted on Jan 04, 2021. Disassemble the TCM and use magnifier to check the solderings of both plugs. If you can see any circles on the solderings then resolder them. You can resolder them for "just in case" as well. TCM is located on the right side of shifter assembly, near the passenger legs.

Hi! I would like to change the fuel filter on my Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ, 2.7 Diesel, CRD, 2004. The thing is that now it has a Mercedes Sprinter 2.7 filter (that's how I bought the car with) and I wanna replace it with an original Bosch Filter. Drill 6mm holes through the lids for a tight sliding fit of the pipes and drill a 2mm or so hole in each lid to let the air out as the fuel goes in. I just taped them together for now to get the job done but will make a metal/wood holder for them. This will also make pouring the fuel back into the tank less messy!

It cured one vehicle, but not the other. The vehicle still has this problem. I now live in sa and have bought a jeep 2.7 crd, and guess what, same problem. The previous owner has replaced the turbo with a brand new one, and i can sea wiring checks and work has been done. Clearly not solving the problem. Love my jeep, but frustrated with problem.
