The new CFMoto 800MT is here, the first big bike to come out of KTM’s partnership with the Chinese manufacturer. We’ve known KTM had a plan to work with CFMoto for years, and at the time of the first 790 Adventure release, there was a rumour that bike’s engine was built in China. KTM told us it wasn’t—it was made in Austria.
The seat height is also adjustable, that can go as low as 825 mm, or down to 800 mm with the seat-lowering kit. The 43 mm WP Apex forks now come with rebound and compression adjustability, and the rear shock also gets full adjustability. Height: 1.5" (38mm) Taller than stock. The KTM 790/890 R Tall comfort seat has been built up at the front to counteract the natural forward slope of the OEM seat along with a slimmer profile allowing for a more relaxed feel. The rear of the seat has also been widened to provide better weight distribution alleviating un-wanted pressure points
The 830mm seat height feels right for the size of bike and can be raised to 850mm with a new Touratech 30mm Lowering Fork & Shock Spring Kit, KTM 890 & 790 Adventure / R (touratech-usa.com) Has anyone tried this? I've seen a couple other suppliers with these kits and wondered how they worked in lowering the seat height. Looks like with this and a lowered seat I might be able to get it down almost 2".
