If you look up the 407 with your engine on the site Red Sector recommended you find that there was one clutch kit for your model up to build code 10782 (17th May 2006) & after that it used a different clutch kit. Up to 17/05/06 - Part number 2052 33.

#1 · Sep 13, 2023 I have a 2005 1.6hdi 407, has a serious lack of power in all rev ranges, struggles to get to 3k and then sounds like it's chocking itself after that very hard to get the car up to 4k. Boost pressure wont go past 2.8psi, wastgate is working and so to is boost solenoid (replaced 2020), already have replaced turbo a few years back.

I have read somewhere, that the engine is very sensitive to sooth / dirt in the oil circuit. I know the EGR is known to cause a lot of this.
