since a few days a have a Oclulus Quest 2 to play with and even with tutorials i cant get it working. The game wont show up in VR only just on my normal screen. PS: Sorry for bad English :)
There is a toggle in a config to show the game on both at the same time, but it eats resources. With 16gb of ram I'd recommend not mirroring it to both. Thank you ;-). As Im thinking to buy the game, i just heve the demo. I suppose this one is not working in VR. It isn't as you need the VR beta branch for it and there are no beta branches for
When I come to the bit where I can choose to drive or job market the mouse wont move what-so-ever.. its just stuck in a corner. Its not that I pressed the F5 Button (enable / disable mouse (windows 8.1)) so idk whats going on. Any Ideas?
If I have the headset laying on the desk when I start the game it puts me in odd places sometimes. Also try calibrating your VR in SteamVR. Not sure if you've used it yet or not but you can find it by hovering over your Library tab and then selecting tools, scroll down to find SteamVR (it's a free install) and run it after it installs.
A full uninstall and reinstall fixed it for me. I just read a guide on Google and it worked for me without issues. There's a couple extra steps, like uncheck VR theatre in Steam etc. Works for me with VD when using -openvr as steam launch option. ETS2 won't launch in VR I have been attempting to play Euro Truck Simulator 2 in VR, but even when I untick the HMD option, it still launches into it anyway. Can any of you help? NoobieKuan Nov 9, 2016 @ 7:19pm. In the window where you 'SET LAUNCH OPTION'. Make sure you uncheck 'Use Desktop Game Theatre while SteamVR is active'. Also if you don't see the UI within your headset hit F11. In game hit F12 to recenter headset. #4. VampireKirill Nov 10, 2016 @ 1:25pm. I did it's still not working.
God I think so. It would be so naturaly just to look around, not to move the mouse. Also imagine turning around, to look out the window for reversing. I hope there might be possible support in the future for this. I don't own a Rift, but if racing games/ driving sims start going this route, I may end up getting one and I think this game is perfect for it. What do you think?
Parts of the game are in theatre mode, only the driving is in VR, well that is my experience using Oculus Quest, i play dirt rally 2.0 and i am ok with menus operating on a pseudo screen but NOT the actual game if it shows me in the cockpit of the truck then i expect the game to work in full vr 3d and NOT stay on the pseudo screen Re: Game is upside down with Open Composite. create a text file named 'opencomposite.ini' and put the following line in it 'invertUsingShaders=true' (without the ' and it IS case sensitive! This workaround is needed for ATS and ETS2, read more about it and all other configuration parameters in the readme on the GitLab page in the first bullet). VR: HP Reverb G2 Soft: steamVR (SS auto) Hyper-threading (bios): off Mod: Promod setting high Euro Truck Simulator 2 (1.46) setting : All Ultra and high except MLAA and HOD disable, resolution ingame 100% Config.cfg vanilla. I ride a lot in France and lately a lot in Spain. If you have some places to recommend to test the performances I'm
Before you start the game, go into WIndows / Control Panel / Sound / Playback, and set your VR headset to “default device”. Weird, but no other way at this time I guess. Putting up in Bug now…. You can select the speaker in the system tray and select the playback device from there.
Theres a key to toggle the view of the menu, including the map view, to VR headset; which should be F11. If the menu is toggled/switched to be viewed on VR, the monitor won't show the menu on the game window and there's no need to take off the headset. Pressing the key again, then the VR display won't show the menu but instead on the monitor
