Injectors, DPF, EGR, SW update, fuel pressure sensor, fuel pump in reservoir, common rail pump, turbine but the problem remains. The strange thing is that this occurs only on temperatures above 0 degrees Celsius.
Hi! Last couple of weeks all warning lights go off in the dashboard on my 2008 Focus mk2. The metres go up and down like mad and engine malfunction limited speed mode displays as well, but the car runs as normal. Coincidentally, I've failed to start the car a few times during this period, but oth
Unfortunately, that is the common cluster fault. The solder on the main connector needs re-soldering as they get dry joints and the vehicle looses comms with the modules on the car. Plenty of places offer a repair and return service (check eBay, search Focus MK2 cluster repair) it'll cost you about ยฃ50-60
Update from my post above, the garage have phoned me to say, that they didn't see no fault codes when checking and that they did see the temp gauge being erratic, (that's a first for me considering its cut out several time for me and only once for them) anyhow they believe it to be a temperature sensor, causing this issue and have replaced this, they say they have test drove it again with no
could be the common problem with the solder on the 32 pin connector on the back of the instrument console. there are youtube videos about how to dismantle it and resolder. or companies you can send the instrument cluster to for resoldering. It might not be that but it sounds like it could be. 1.
The Volvo V40 Mk2 has been the subject of a few recalls. One concerned a coolant leak, which could cause a fire. The cooling system caused a second recall, because air could become trapped in it, so an extra bleeding hose had to be fitted. A software fault that could cause a rear light to fail to function had to be addressed, as did a plastic
The procedure is in the owner's manual, or can be found here: The bonnet catch problem is very common, and can be several causes. There is a plastic cross link that come apart, the cable inner can break, or there can be problems with the lock. Best just to replace the whole cable assy, possibly latch as well. Quote.

It's a MK2.5 09 plate Focus estate. It seems to be pretty random as to when it occurs but when it does I get the Siren type alarm followed by the "engine malfunction" message and then the "reduced acceleration" message. To start with this was accompanied by the traction control amber light but recently has been showing the "check engine" light too.

Focus Mk2 2005 Intermittent U0001. Just been out to look at my daughters car - she phoned to say it was showing several dash lights and juddering. She'd tried killing the engine and re-starting but problem persisted. However when I got there (10mins later) we started it and all was good - plugged a code reading in and just got a single U0001
